From Seed to Stomach

So after waiting til the last possible day we harvested the snap peas.  It was quite dramatic...we both had a hard time letting them go...can you get attached to plants???? YES!  The babies have grown and in the case of the snap peas they won't be coming back!

So we kept waiting "one more day" until they were actually starting to turn yellow! Ofcourse we know we give them continous life by eating them...by allowing them to become a part of us...but it was still hard.  Who knew...

Needless to say they were a little bitter because we waited so long to pick them, but we still enjoyed and thank them.

There were about 3 to 4 peas in each pod!  Can you see them?
